Focused on Bearings. Driven by Condition Insight.
Recore Technologies is an engineering startup dedicated to improving the reliability and lifecycle performance of large, critical rolling element bearings.
Our approach brings together condition monitoring insight and bearing remanufacturing expertise — enabling more informed decisions around when to intervene, when to restore, and when replacement is truly required.
OUR BACKGROUND
Recore Technologies was founded on practical experience working closely with rotating equipment, where bearing performance is often the limiting factor in overall asset reliability. Through hands-on involvement in both condition monitoring and bearing restoration environments, a clear gap became evident. Condition monitoring systems are highly effective at identifying developing faults — but they don’t always answer the key question:
Can this bearing still be saved?
At the same time, bearing remanufacturing offers a proven way to extend service life — yet decisions around recovery are not always guided by real operating condition data. Recore was created to connect these two worlds.
WHAT WE DO
We help operations translate bearing condition data into clear, actionable decisions.
Our focus includes:
- Detecting early-stage bearing degradation through condition monitoring
- Analysing failure progression and operating behaviour
- Assessing the feasibility of bearing remanufacturing
- Supporting planned intervention aligned with shutdown schedules
- Tracking post-maintenance bearing performance using real operating data
Our role is not just to identify bearing faults — but to help determine the most appropriate path forward for that bearing.
OUR APPROACH
We work alongside existing reliability and condition monitoring programs to enhance how bearing data is used in decision-making.
By integrating:
- Continuous condition monitoring insights
- Bearing-specific failure analysis
- Structured evaluation of remanufacturing potential
- Post-repair performance tracking
We create a more connected and practical framework for managing bearing health throughout its lifecycle.
WHAT WE BELIEVE
- Not all detected bearing faults require immediate replacement
- Early-stage damage can often be technically assessed for recovery
- Condition monitoring data should directly inform bearing intervention strategy
- The true value lies in understanding failure progression, not just fault detection
By aligning condition insight with bearing-specific engineering decisions, we support a more controlled and cost-effective maintenance approach.
OUR FOCUS
We specialise in high-value bearings where failure carries significant operational and financial impact:
- Mill trunnion bearings
- High-pressure grinding roll (HPGR) bearings
- Large conveyor pulley bearings
- Other critical rolling element bearings in mining and heavy industry
By maintaining a dedicated bearing focus, we provide deeper technical insight into damage mechanisms, recovery potential, and lifecycle optimisation.
